Luis A. Argueso

Luis is a national subject matter expert in value-based care, spanning a range of engagements from the design and implementation of provider compensation incentives to the development of large-scale value-based enterprises.  He assists InHealth’s clients in developing programs that align provider groups and facilities in value-based initiatives through targeting industry-leading quality measures and efficient staffing models.  He also performs fair market value opinions for a wide range of healthcare arrangements and transactions.

 

In addition, as a subject matter expert in telemedicine service lines, Luis provides advisory services to InHealth clients in selecting and implementing successful virtual programs.  These services include assessing services lines for telemedicine integration, program design, vendor selection, and value benchmarking.  He maintains extensive expertise in hospital-based medical groups service, such as anesthesiology, emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, and intensive care.

Beyond this guidance, Luis assists clients in developing tools and other solutions that allow for operationalization of value-based alignment strategies, including value-based enterprises.  Luis helped develop InHealth’s ValueSCORE™, the first ratings system to evaluate providers based on the social risk of their patient population.

Prior to founding InHealth, Mr. Argueso was a partner with a national healthcare valuation firm, where he led the hospital-based and telemedicine valuation service lines.  His prior clients primarily consisted of health systems, hospitals, physician practices, and telemedicine companies.  Mr. Argueso holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University.

In his free time, Luis enjoys the Colorado outdoors with his wife and sons, playing and composing music on guitar, and reading tomes on military history.
