About Luis

Luis is a national subject matter expert regarding professional services arrangements between hospitals and medical groups specializing in hospital-based service lines, such as anesthesiology, emergency medicine, hospitalist medicine, and intensive care medicine.  He assists InHealth’s clients in developing programs that align hospital-based provider groups and facilities in value-based initiatives through targeting industry-leading quality measures and operationalizing efficient staffing models.  Beyond this guidance, Luis assists clients in developing tools and other solutions that allow for operationalization of value-based alignment strategies.

In addition, as a subject matter expert in telemedicine service lines, Luis provides advisory services to InHealth clients in selecting and implementing successful virtual programs.  These services include assessing service lines for telemedicine integration, program design, vendor selection, and value benchmarking.  In particular, Luis has experience in evaluating the use of telemedicine in rural and underserved markets, as well as extensive work with direct-to-consumer digital health service offerings.  Other expertise includes physician needs assessments, regional economic analyses (including impact assessments), and best practices for rural and underserved markets.

Prior to founding InHealth, Luis was a partner with a national healthcare valuation firm, where he led the hospital-based and telemedicine valuation service lines.  His prior clients primarily consisted of health systems, hospitals, physician practices, and telemedicine companies.  Luis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University.

In his free time, Luis enjoys the Colorado outdoors with his wife and son, playing and composing music on guitar, and reading tomes on military history.
